Congratulations on your live interview invitation! Here are a 5 tips created by our booking agents on how to have a successful live interview.
Make the most of your interview, prepare to shine.
Be sure to pick a quiet setting, noise will interfere with your ability to focus on the interview, as well as make it difficult for the booking agent to focus on you.
You're a professional! Your level of professionalism is being gathered before you even speak. Remember, first impression is everything. Prepare as if you were meeting us in office, Face-to-face. Do not underestimate the value of your presence over a web camera, you are just as clear to the agent as if you were in their presence.
Tardiness affects all. It shows your timely professionalism, and from the very beginning demonstrates your potential reliability Or unreliability. Each interview holds a 20 minute window, one which was reserved for you. The later you are, the less time you have to show how valuable you truly are. Two things can happen.. 1. Your interview will be cut short, (well according to you) so that the agent can attend to the next and punctual interview. or 2. You would have to reschedule for next availabilities, possibly weeks away. To avoid this; Be Punctual.
Also be aware that interviews are held based on Eastern Standard.
Times (NY TIME) so, plan accordingly to your specific time zone.
We want to know YOU, so be you. It's the different and unique personalities of showmta that make us special. We don't want to meet who you would like to be, or your favorite idol, (unless of course you're a celebrity look-a-like) we want to meet you. Be confident that you are all you need to succeed.
A bright smile goes along way, it shows friendliness and approachability. And these are great qualities to flaunt.
